Last Wednesday I suggested that going on dates with your husband {or significant other} was one way to maintain your relationship {certainly not a groundbreaking concept, but true none the less}. Whether you have been together for a while and are feeling the passion fizzle, or your life is dominated by a new role as a parent, going out every week {or month if that's all you can do} and spending time together like you did in the beginning of the courtship is a great idea! Here are some suggestions on things that you can do together as a couple in various price ranges:
- go bowling {even glow bowling if you want to feel nostalgic}
- go to a play or dinner theatre {try Theatre Calgary or Jubilations here in Calgary}
- go to a comedy club
- visit a museum
- go to a sporting event {extra points with the hubby usually}
- try painting pottery
- take a cooking class together
- go for a walk {before it gets too cold}
- go to a farmer's market
- drive to a nearby city/town and get ice cream
- volunteer somewhere together
- walk around a pet shop {cute window shopping}

How about sitting on a pier (I can only think of the Glenmore resevoir dock) eating cheesecake and watching the sun go down. Or drive out into the country, spread a blanket and star gaze.
